“Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises”
‘Demosthenes’ Orator of the 4th century BC
Tuesday 13th October 2015; New Moon; New Venture; New Opportunities.
It has now been five weeks since an over-night flash forward idea came out of the solution bowl of curiosities. In that time not only has Graphein Freelance gotten it’s name, the theme behind the name, a Website and a WordPress blog, but also has a Logo, Icon and gained it’s first writing gig within the first week, that of a ‘book cover blurb’ for a forthcoming publication.
Since then there has been an onslaught of research, reading, studying, refreshing, updating, networking, subscribing, enrolling and naturally, writing! This venture, no matter how it finally birthed, was something that had been awaiting my action for nigh on twenty years if truth be told, but hey, better late than never right?
I would like to assert my gratitude this upcoming Thanksgiving to Lora O’Brien over at Write Ireland; to Ellen Evert Hopman; as well as for the helpful insights gained from Carol Tice over at Make A Living Writing; and to the crew of the Blogging University who provide invaluable courses both basic and advanced in the realm of blogging and in aiding those writers, poets, bloggers and freelancers out there with building WordPress sites that are professional and worthy of a view, for helping people learn how to utilise the digital world we live in today, to further develop their field, but also build a client base, fanbase, network, and friends.
I have enjoyed every minute of the past five weeks, even though I also had to deal with many a hospital appointment during this time, which would normally have left me void of anything else, however, this venture has given me a new lease of life, and it’s up and adam at dawn each morning and straight to my desk to work, as soon as the pets are fed, watered and toileted. The day goes so fast now, as I do what I love to do, that of writing, learning, connecting, manifesting, creating, and being productive.
So, from here on in, I shall schedule these Monthly update’s to let all my potential client's, client's, followers, readers, and subscribers know the recent developments at Graphein Freelance.
Much Gratitude!
Dorn
